Dan Mahony founded Transcendent Sales Solutions to empower companies with sales strategies that accelerate revenue growth. He’s one of those rare individuals who seems born to solve problems, quickly assess all the issues, and institute the solutions.

Moving from corporate leader to striking out on his own was a natural transition for Dan, who was a successful sales representative before moving into leadership roles at McKesson, Dell, and Eastman Kodak. His experience spans many industries, and he has led high-performing teams at small and large firms alike.

Direct and forthright, Dan is a what-you-see-is-what-you-get kind of guy—and what you get with Dan is results. He can turn under-performing sales organizations into revenue-producing market leaders. He regularly transforms chaos and confusion into definition and productivity. “I think my special skill is being able to make people feel comfortable,” Dan said. “I’m a good listener and have the ability to look at things strategically, and then devise a way to implement a tactical direction.”

When asked who he most admired, Dan didn’t hesitate. “My parents.” He was influenced by their work ethic and selflessness. “I learned what hard work was from my father, who was in sales, and my mother, a controller,” Dan said. “They would sit at the dinner table, talking about their jobs. It had such an impact on me. I like to say I got my MBA in business by listening to them talk about work and how they managed different situations.”

From the time he was little, Dan knew he wanted to be in business. He started college on an accounting track before switching to marketing and holds a BS in marketing from Elmhurst University and MBA from the University of Phoenix. Outside of work, Dan’s favorite pastime is his family. He and his wife Michelle have two sons and two daughters, plus two grandsons. One of Dan’s sons is active in the Marine Corps and his son-in-law is active in the Army Reserves.
