My Story
Creating Self-Sustaining Growth For Your Business
I’m Dan Mahony, a fractional Chief Sales Officer who works within your business – not just alongside it.
Known for my hands-on approach and strategic insight, I build sales structures that move companies from dependence to independence. Clients describe my impact as “a game changer”, ”transforming their approach to sales and enabling lasting growth without the daily burden.
Why I Do What I Do
For over 25 years, I watched as CEOs struggled to bridge the gap between themselves and their sales teams. In smaller businesses, this gap keeps founders tied to sales, stalling growth.
I founded Transcendent Sales Solutions to free CEOs from this cycle.
My mission is to create self-sustaining sales systems that let you focus on leading, scaling, or transitioning on your own terms.
How I Got From There to Here
In 2008, I lost nearly everything due to a perfect storm of challenges—a divorce, job loss amid the economic recession, and the housing crisis. I was forced to rebuild from the ground up, without the stability and resources I had taken for granted.
Through this experience, I learned the power of resilience, adaptability, and the importance of systems that don’t depend on any one person.
Three key lessons guide my work today:
Structure Drives Success:
I design systems that create predictability and growth, even in tough times.
Efficiency Yields Results:
Streamlining processes reduces costs and amplifies profits, positioning your business for long-term success.
Independence Empowers Leadership:
A self-sustaining system allows you to focus on strategy without constant oversight.
Today, as President of Transcendent Sales Solutions, I’m dedicated to helping business leaders like you create resilient, scalable foundations for growth—no matter what comes your way.
Family, Freedom, and the Heart of What I Do
Outside of work, my foundation is my family. Spending time with my wife Michele, our 4 children, and our two grandsons keeps me grounded and reminds me why I’m passionate about creating freedom and balance for my clients. Family drives everything I do, and it’s the same sense of stability I want for your business.
Aside from the 2008 financial setback, there’s something else that surprises people about me: I was a route driver for Frito Lay and Eagle Snacks while working my way through college.
Navigating daily routes and meeting tight schedules taught me how to build rapport quickly, multitask, and stay disciplined—all essential skills that I still use today in working with clients to keep their businesses on track.
